It's the most wonderful time of the year...

We've been doing all kinds of Christmas stuff lately.  Singing songs, baking cookies, going to see decorations!  It's been lots of fun!

One of the buildings uptown has Singing Bears every year.  We love going to listen to them sing.  This year we danced to the music too!

This is our favorite Christmas decoration this year. It's on our street. The penguins are "FREEZING"!

Happy Birthday Princess!

I got a birthday card from Grandlin and Paw-Paw and loved it.  I love to sing and dance!

I'm Three!

I had my 3rd birthday on Friday.  It was such a fun day.  When I got up, Toodles our elf was waiting for me with my  presents!  I got a Dora doll with her horse.  Grandlin and Paw Paw sent me a Team Umi Zoomi car and Grandma Nancy and Grandpa sent me a leopard wallet with gift cards to Starbucks and Target.

Then Mom made cinnamon rolls for my birthday breakfast.  We got to put red and green icing on them.  Yum!!  Then I went to Monkey Joe's with our babysitter Caroline.  And after nap we went to a friends house for crafts, pizza and cupcakes.  Everyone sang to me.  My cupcakes were chocolate with purple plastic rings on top.  Very cool!  It feels good to be 3!
Yup, I'm three!
Toodles said Happy Birthday to me with presents!!

Mmmmm, cinnamon rolls!  My birthday breakfast!

Dear Santa...

We wrote and mailed letters to Santa.  Here are our letters. We've been trying to be good girls so we can get all we asked for!

Mad Lib Birthday Bash 2012

We had our big backyard birthday party on Saturday. It was for my 3rd birthday and Maddie's 5th birthday.  The weather was perfect or fantastico as Dora would say! (We were getting a little worried since it had been all cold and rainy the few days before it.)  All our school and neighborhood friends were there!  Mom said 50+ kids were there and then there were lots of moms and dads.  Daddy made Jambalaya (but Maddie and I said yuck!) and Mommy had hot dogs for everyone too.  We had 2 bouncy houses!  Grandlin and Paw-Paw came in town for the big party too. We played hard and by the end of the party we were all very, very tired.  Here are some pictures of our big day.

I'm 5 Years Old!

Yup!  I just had my big 5 year old birthday.  Gone are the days where I have to tell people, "I'm 4 1/2". I'm a nice big whole number.

My 5th birthday was a great day.  It started out with chocolate chip AND sprinkle birthday pancakes.  Yum!  Then I went to school.  At the end of the school day, Mom and Dad showed up with cupcakes for my class.  They were pink with rainbow sprinkles.  And (by my request), I got a special cupcake with a rose on it.  After school, Mom took me to get a real manicure and pedicure!  I even got to soak my feet in the water.  I chose purple polish and got little pink hearts on each fingernail.  Then we went to the toy store (the purple house one...it's my favorite) and played for a bit.

My favorite part of my birthday was getting my presents.  First we celebrated early with Grandma and Grandpa on Sunday since they were in town, and they got me BUTTERSCOTCH!  It's a little horse. They also got me Bella, a Maltese puppy that came in a little pink carrying purse. My birthday morning I got some princess dolls from Mom and Dad.  And, Libby got me a little cat that purrs.  And you know what?! My big birthday party is still to come!  What a lucky girl!

Trick or Treat!

Halloween was a blast this year!  We dressed up in our costumes for our school's Fall Festival.  Libby was Rapunzel and I decided to wear my Belle dress because I didn't want to get my real costume (Bride Rapunzel) all dirty.  Later on we went to our neighborhood Trunk or Treat.  It's always fun because we see all our friends, eat Chick-Fil-A, pizza and Halloween cookies!  Then we came home to go trick or treating around the block.  It was a lot of walking, but I kept up pretty good with all the big kids in our neighborhood.  Libby was pretty tired so she rode in the wagon.  We got lots of candy and had lots of fun, but I was so ready to get in bed and go to sleep.  It was a long day!

Libby, I mean Rapunzel dancing with Mr. Ghost.

Libby's naughty.  She's eating more pretzels after Mom said she'd had enough.

Special Sunday

Sundays are my favorite day!  Maddie and I make special Sunday pancakes with Dad. Sometimes we even get to put in Chocolate Chips!

After pancakes we go to church. (This part really isn't our favorite, but Mom and Dad say we have to go every week.) We sit in the front of church and see lots of our church friends.   Sometimes we are good listeners and color quietly and sometimes Mom and Dad get mad at us for talking too loud or fighting with each other.  After church, Maddie gets to go sing in choir and I usually walk around with Mom and Dad trying to get downstairs to snag a doughnut.

After church we go on a bike ride on the Greenway.  I like to ride my bike and usually take BABY with me. We explore (there are little fish in the creek!), climb on rocks and pet dogs.  (Well, Maddie pets the dogs.  I just watch.) At the end of our walk we get grilled cheese sandwiches from Which Which. and yogurt from Cherry Berry. My favorite flavor is Birthday Cake and Strawberry mixed together with rainbow sprinkles on top!

It's a fun and busy morning and after all of that, I'm tired!

Happy Nappy,
Libby
Biking on the Greenway

Sandwiches at Which Which ... grilled cheese please!
When we get tired Dad or Mom pulls us by our "reins".

Balance, Balance ... don't fall down!

We like to look at the little fish in the creek.

More sandwich eating!

My Choir Debut

I'm in the Children's Choir at St. Peter's church this year.  Libby is too little to join, but she helps me practice the songs at home.  This Sunday we sang in the front of the church for the first time.  I did awesome during our practice before mass started.  But I was a little nervous up in front of everyone during mass.   I'm the one in the hot pink dress playing with my head band, stretching and yawning.  Here's the video

Pumpkin Patch

A few weeks ago we had a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch.  It was lots of fun!  It's one of our favorite field trips.  We play on the farm (we saw a baby goat!) and then the farmer drives all of us on a big trailer to get our pumpkins.  We looked around for the perfect pumpkin.  Then we had a picnic there with all of our friends.
We're getting so tall!

Maddie and I are pilgrims.  I got mad that I had to be the boy!

This is my best friend Violet. Maddie kept doing a funny face.

More Maddie Funny Faces!

My pumpkin was little and perfect.

Maddie's pumpkin was heavy for her.

We picked pretty yellow flowers for Mommy.

Violet and I are getting our own flowers.

This is my mad face.  I told Violet that I didn't want to be the BOY pilgrim.

First Day of Preschool - 2012

We're practically experts at this first day of school thing.  I'm in the TK class with Ms. Sue (lots of my friends went to Kindergarten, but I get to play at preschool one more year. Yea!).  Libby is in Ms. Dana's 2 year old class.  (I had Ms. Dana too...she's going to have lots of fun!)  We got new backpacks and lunchboxes and shoes.  All very exciting!  So far, the year is off to a great start!!
