Pictures with Santa

Jack Sumich invited us over to see Santa Claus. Everyone was so excited and talking about it, so I was pretty curious to see who this Santa guy was. Umm...I don't like Santa much. (And I was pretty vocal about it.)

Puppy!

Uncle Tim and Ms. Shay sent me a toy puppy. It's for Christmas but Mom opened it early and let me play with it a little today. It barks and moves and I really enjoyed it today.

Oh and an update on what's going on with me. Yesterday I took my first step. I'm still a little unsure of this walking thing, but I'm getting bolder. I'll keep everyone posted!

Christmas Photo Shoot

Christmas Tree Time

It's a tradition for the Behrens family to get their Christmas tree on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We drive up to a tree farm called Top of the Mountain and pick out the perfect tree. Obviously this was my first year to make the trip, but it was fun. We found trees really tall and trees really small (just my size!).

Birthday Cake Video

I was pretty overwhelmed when everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me.

Maybe next year Mom won't schedule my party during nap time. It's awfully unsettling to be woken from your nap, squeezed into a frilly dress and then go into your playroom to discover it's full of strange people!

My 1st Birthday Party

On Sunday we had a small party for family and friends to celebrate my 1st birthday. Mom and Dad got me a big cake with a monkey on it and then a little cake just for me to eat! I very overwhelmed at first, but eventually I got used to all the people. I got lots of really great gifts. I'm very thankful to everyone who sent me cards, emails and gifts for my birthday!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

I turned one year-old today! Everyone seemed so excited for me and kept singing this "Happy Birthday" song to me all day. The best part was the cupcake!! I'm looking forward to more of that sugary stuff.

B-I-G Monkey

I came downstairs this morning to discover this giant monkey. I didn't know what to think...I was excited and a little scared. (I've since warmed up to him) Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Behrens for sending him to me. Here's a video of my discovery.

Happy Halloween!

I celebrated my first Halloween yesterday. I dressed up as Snow White. I really loved it when Daddy let me play in the candy. We went to our park for a "trunk or treat" where I got to see some of my friends in their costumes.

New stuff

I got some new stuff this week. (Mom couldn't wait to give me some of my 1st birthday gifts). I got a new coat and a push/ride toy. I'm still warming up to both of them...

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we visited a pumpkin patch at a local farm! I saw all kinds of animals...turkeys, a cow, a horse, even an ostrich! I really enjoyed our ride on the tractor out to get our pumpkins and seeing all the other children. Fall is fun!

Roadtrip to the Blue Ridge

We went to see the changing leaves on the Blue Ridge Parkway today. I slept a good bit of the trip, but got out of the car for a few photo opps. The leaves were incredible...the pictures don't do them justice. For lunch we stopped at a little coffeeshop on the parkway. I ate a grilled cheese and some cooked apples...yum!

Yea for Me!

So my new trick is clapping. (Finally!) Lately I do it all the time. I'm so proud of myself. Mom got me clapping during lunch time the other day...check it out!

Football Season

So, Mom and Dad have both bought me outfits to cheer on the Panthers. Mom bought me the cheerleader outfit and Dad got me the Delhomme jersey. Which one do you like?

New Toys

I got two packages in the mail this week. One from Grandma and Grandpa B with a pop-up Halloween book, an outfit and some stuffed animals (MONKEYS!). The other package was from Grandlin and Paw-Paw and had a ton of fall clothes (Mom and I will be having "fashion show!" later this week.). I feel so loved and want to say a big "THANKS!". Here I am reading the Halloween book...I still can't decide if I like it or if I'm scared of it!

10 months

I'm becoming a very curious little girl. I get into everything...one of my favorites is the refrigerator! Busted!

I was invited to a tea party at the house of Grace and Helen. They let me play with all of their stuffed animals (I LOVE stuffed animals, especially monkeys!). Here I am with the hostesses.
Mom and Dad went to the Panthers game on Sunday, but Mom dressed me in my Saints gear before leaving (and before Daddy could notice!)

I took a big girl bath last night. I had a blast...swimming, playing with my toys and drinking the water (yuck!). I think I'm done with that silly baby tub.

Apples are Yummy!

I've always enjoyed apples, but recently applesauce has become a favorite food and I only drink out of my sippy cup when it's filled with a little bit of apple juice. (Yum!) So this weekend Mom and Dad took me to an apple orchard. We picked all kinds of apples and I got to munch on a few! We plan to make it a yearly tradition. Next year I'll be big enough to play in the apple playhouse. Can't wait!

Visit to Dallas

Last week I took my first trip to Dallas/Fort Worth (my first trip on a airplane!). I was a perfect angel on the flight and really enjoyed my time with Grandlin and Paw-Paw. Uncle Tim and Miss Shay visited too. We had a great time...went to the zoo, swam in the pool and we visited my mom's college friends. Here are some pictures of my visit!
