Maddie's Birthday and Thanksgiving on an Island

  Hi! I turned 8 on November 20th.  I can't believe I'm 8 now.  I had a great birthday!  Mom sent in cupcakes for my class AND we had our talent show that day at school and then again that night.  My friends and I did "It's a Hard Knock Life" from Annie.  I love being on stage = so much fun!

Then if that wasn't enough...the next morning we left for St. Johns!  It's an island in the CARIBBEANS (as we like to call it).  We met my best friend in the whole world Addie there.  Well it was quite the flight there (big delays!)...we almost missed the last ferry, but we made it and had fun.  Libby and Mom were a little sick there but made the most of it.  It was so much fun!  We swam, snorkeled, ate lots (the moms and dads drank a lot of these things called Pain Killers) and got tan! We enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving ... island style!

Halloween!

We had such a great time celebrating Halloween this year!  Grease Style!

On Friday we went to the Raleigh Country Club for a Halloween Party.  Games, a DJ, a photo booth, a hayride, s'mores and a magician were all part of the fun.  We danced until the DJ shut down.  We didn't win the costume contest, but there's always next year!

On Saturday (Halloween!) we went trick-or-treating with Libby's friend Mamie and her family.  They have a super fun neighborhood with lots of kids.  We ate pizza, ran around and then went house to house and got a LOT of candy.  There was even a house that had s'mores instead of candy.

We were pooped by the end of the weekend and thankful to have an extra hour on Sunday for sleep!

School Picture Day

We got to wear dress up clothes for picture day this week.  Mom took us shopping for new dresses so we were excited to wear them.  She snapped a few pics before we headed off to school just in case we forgot to smile for the pictures at school.  Here we are!

Back To School 2015

School is off to a great start!  We are at Our Lady of Lourdes this year in Raleigh.  We miss riding the bus but so far mom has survived carpool.

Maddie:  I'm in 2nd grade this year.  My teacher is Ms. Frinzl and my assistant is Ms. Spellman.  They are nice and so far they let me give them hugs!  I'm the new girl in my class but everyone has been pretty nice to me so far.  I made a friend over the summer named Bailey so I knew one person when school started.   And a boy has been nice to me too. His name is Summey.  I have a locker this year!  I'm excited to be in Raleigh and see my Daddy everyday.  Plus Raleigh has lots of nature to explore!

Libby: Finally I started big school this year (I've been ready!)  I am soooo excited to be in Kindergarten!!  My teachers are so nice.  They are Ms. Lynch and Ms. Moore.  I have made lots of friends.  I love Marlowe the most but I play with Mamie and Kylie too. The most exciting part of Kindergarten is we got 8th grade buddies to go to Mass with.  My buddy is Rachel and she's super cool.  She even gave me a cookie. I like living in Raleigh so far because Daddy is here all the time and we go on bike rides together.  Plus our apartment has 2 swimming pools! 

August 2015

Well our family had a busy end of the year.  Maddie wrapped first grade with Ms. Casseus at Eastover, finished another successful year of musical theater and art lessons.  I graduated from St. John's in May and finished up Daisy Dance.

Then Mom and Dad announced we were MOVING!  So we now live in Raleigh, NC.  We moved at the beginning of August so we still had lots of time to go to the beach, go to fun summer camps and play with our friends over the summer.

We are sorry that we didn't post many pictures this past school year.  But we hope to post more of the fun we have in our new city.  Stay tuned ...

Happy Halloween!

So this year we had soooo much fun at Halloween.  Grandlin and Paw-Paw were here to trick or treat with us.  I was a movie star and Maddie was a pink flamingo.  Everyone loved our costumes.  We got tons of candy and I ate the most pizza of everyone at Trunk or Treat!  And we even made the local news Fox Edge talking about our least favorite halloween candy. Tiger World

This Fall we made it to Tiger World.  We saw all kinds of cool animals. The best part was my best friend Addie from Atlanta came to visit.
