Today I'm starting TK at St. Johns.  That means I'm in the oldest class at school!  Ms. Julia is my teacher and I really like her.  We are going to learn how to write all our letters and other big kid stuff. I love school and playing with my friends!

In case you didn't know, Yard Crashers is a show on TV that I love watching with Dad.

Maddie's First Day of School

Today was my first day of school.  I'm in 1st Grade this year.  My teacher is Ms. Casseus and she's pretty and nice.  1st grade will be different because my BFFs are in different classes from me.  But I'll make new friends.  I'm most excited about Art and Technology...my two most favorite specials.  I've heard 1st grade has homework. (I'm not very excited about that.) Here are some pictures of me on the 1st day!

I forgot to mention that I lost my first tooth about a week before school started.  Finally!

My sissy loves me and was sad to see me go to school without her.  She can't wait to be at Eastover with me. 

Summer Fun at the Lake

We spent lots of time this summer at our lake house.  It was so much fun!  We spent our days there fishing, skiing, knee-boarding and splashing in the water.  Oh and riding the jetski! After dinner we made s'mores at our fire pit. Yummo!  Even Mom got up on skis this year (her first time ever!).

Kids Triathlon 2014

We participated in the kids triathlon at the Y again this year.  Maddie jumped up to the big kids race which meant she had to 75 yards (3 laps in the big pool!), bike 2 miles and run 1/2 mile. And Mom and Dad weren't allowed to help her.  I don't know how she did it, but she did great! I cheered her on and helped her run a little at the end. She had her biggest fan best friend Arianna cheering her on too. 

I did the preschool race again this year and rocked it.  Much less racing than Maddie but  I swam in the pool by myself this year!

Libby's Recital: Daisy Dance & Gymnastics

I had my Daisy Dance recital on stage at school.  I was very excited, especially since I had just gotten new tap shoes. I love dancing and my friends who dance with me.

Then a few weeks later I had my showcase at the Little Gym where I take gymnastics.  I really love gymnastics too. I'm getting really strong, but my favorite part of gymnastics class is hanging upside down on the bars.

Maddie's Stage Debut

This year I took a class called Musical Theater.  I LOVED it.  I'm already looking forward to next year.  We didn't get a lot of pictures of the show or my (fabulous) costumes because they had rules about pictures, but here are a few.  I was in two numbers: Surf's Up and Singing in the Rain.  We sang all the songs and danced. Note from Mom:  Maddie was by far the littlest one on stage (it was a class of 6-12 year olds), but she had no idea and danced/sang her heart out.  She loves the limelight!

Easter 2014

Easter was so fun this year because we had visitors.  Grandlin and Paw-Paw were in town for Spring Break and got to celebrate Easter with us.  The Easter Bunny did not disappoint. We got legos, sundresses and some new Palace Pets.  And of course, CANDY!!  So we went to church with a full-on sugar buzz.  But we were still good listeners and managed to score more candy at our church Easter Egg Hunt.  After the hunt we went to brunch at Vivace (they have the yummiest spaghetti and meatballs) and then spent the afternoon at the lake.
