We had such a fun Christmas morning! Santa really brought us EVERYTHING we asked for. I guess we were good little girls! I got a dollhouse and Barbie Charm School movie and toys. Libby got a baby doll, highchair and doll bed. We played all morning and then our friends from next door came over for brunch. We ate lots and played more. Libs and I were exhausted and rested on the couch watching my new Barbie movie. Then we played more!! It was a great Christmas Day!

We went to our first Panthers football game on Christmas Eve. Maddie was really excited about it. I wasn't so sure what I was getting myself into, but went along with it. We both have pretty good Panther growls "Roar-Roar"! We enjoyed the game and made it all the way to halftime! We ate some good game food (popcorn, french fries, pretzels, doughnuts...) and danced some in the stands. Maddie found the game a little loud. Next time we'll bring ear plugs!

We had a pretty good view of the field...I enjoyed watching the cheerleaders dance in their santa costumes! (I think Dad enjoyed that too!)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Libby!

I turned 2 years old today! It was a great birthday. Mom made special sprinkle pancakes this morning and then this afternoon we went to a friend's house to decorate Christmas cookies and everyone sang Happy Birthday to me! And yesterday I got my first haircut. I'm such a big girl now!

I loved getting my haircut. I was a good listener and got a lollipop!

We are in the process of redecorating my room! It's all pink and the best part is that I got a bunk bed with a SLIDE! We're going to make the under part of my bed a playhouse. Libby and I are having a blast playing in my room. I'll have to post pictures when it's all done, but here are a few...

Winter Celebration

Our school had a Winter Celebration last week. We all went on stage and got to sing a Christmas song. My class sang "Little Drummer Boy" with drums and then the whole school got together to sing "Jingle Bells". (Libby practices it all the time at home!). After singing we got to eat...yum!

I also did a dance to Frosty the Snowman with my dance class, but Mom was busy helping and didn't get any pictures of it. (But I did really well!)

Santa's Lap

We went to the mall after Libby's nap today to see Santa! We had our letters in decorated envelopes to give him. Mom said we could sit on his lap and take a picture. We put on our pretty dresses and walked up the aisle to see him bursting with excitement.

Then the "elf" informed us that Santa was taking a "milk and cookie break" and they weren't letting anyone else in line, but to come back in an hour. I was really sad, but Mom said we could play at Pottery Barn Kids and go eat chicken fingers for dinner so I got happy again.

But when we got back to Santa there were a lot of other kids in line so we had to wait FOREVER! We finally made it to Santa. He opened my letter and read it and then he opened Libby's letter (we were all surprised she even walked up to Santa with her letter since she kept saying "No Santa") and told her he liked Elmo and Cookie Monster too. She smiled.

Then it was time for the picture....well, let's just say Libby stopped smiling. I enjoyed every minute especially my candy cane at the end. Maybe next year Libby will realize that Santa isn't so scary.

Mad Lib Birthday Bash 2011

It was the first annual Mad-Lib Birthday Bash yesterday! It was a big celebration of both of our birthdays. We had TWO bounce houses...Maddie had an enchanted castle bounce and I had a dinosaur play bounce. There was lots of food and LOTS of people (mom kept saying there were over 50 kids there!). We had cake (Elmo for me and My Little Pony for Maddie) and pinatas (not quite sure what these were, but when you pulled a string lots of candy fell down and us kids went crazy!) We had tons of fun. Looking forward to doing this again next year!

Happy 4th Birthday!

Today was my birthday. I'm 4 now. It was a wonderful day. I woke up and put on my fancy birthday dress and announced I was the birthday girl! Every Sunday morning, Dad, Libs and I go eat pancakes. Well, this morning, Mom was there too and had decorated our booth with balloons and birthday signs. Then everyone at the Pancake House sang "Happy Birthday" to me and I got pancakes with sprinkles and powdered sugar.

Later that day Mom & Dad said they had a surprise for me. We drove in the car FOREVER. But we finally got there and I got to meet and ride a HORSE (I love horses and love playing "My Little Pony"). Honey was a good horse to ride, except when she had an itch and shook and scared me ALOT!

Birthdays are fun...too bad they only come once a year!

Dave and I got invited to a White Trash Halloween Party. Maddie kept asking what my costume was. I kept saying "A lady who doesn't dress nicely." How do you explain "white trash" to your 4 year old? Libby was just fascinated with Dave's teeth and my fake nails.

Yep, I'm getting closer and closer to the big 2! I'm talking (and singing!) a lot more lately. Maddie still likes to point out my new words. And, I've started saying sentences ... like "I want a snack" (which sounds more like "Iwannasack"). I love to sing songs from my music class and have been trying to sing my ABC's. My teacher Ms. Joanne at school told Mom I'm very enthusiastic about circle time and singing our songs, and when the teachers say "art" that I run to the table, sit in my chair and start patting the table. I'm also very into Elmo and Cookie Monster and watching "Super Why" (I call it "Up Why") with my best friend Maddie.

Here's a video of me from a few nights ago. Lately when someone asks me what my name is I say "bootie" and laugh. Mom is still trying to figure out if I'm being silly or if I really think my name is "bootie"!?

Pumpkin Patch

At the beginning of the month we took a school field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. It's always a fun trip! We see farm animals, play with our friends, find pumpkins and have a picnic. Libby's class got to go this year too.

(Too bad that Mom's memory of the pumpkin patch is that later that night Libby got her first stomach bug and Mom and I got it a few days later. Not so fun!)

I really love horses. I hope to ride a real one soon!

Libby is 21 months

Man it's been busy. I turned 20 and then 21 months and nobody even noticed. Not even me. I like to stay busy. You can't take your eyes off of me. I am exploring new things every day. In fact just tonight Mom caught me scaling her bed and then bouncing all around.

Maddie keeps announcing all the new words I can say. (Some of them I've been saying for a while, but I guess they couldn't understand them.) There are too many new words to name, but mom liked when I pointed out the "carwash" as we were driving by and when she asked Maddie a question about Daddy I said "Raleigh" (he goes there a lot for work!). I also have been saying "No thank you" instead of just plain "no". Oh another popular word is "Mine."... I like to say that alot (alot!).

My favorite thing to play is with my babies still. I take one to school everyday and my teachers say I don't put her down. I also love to dance. Mom and I are taking a music class together and I'm the biggest dancer and clapper in the class. It's fun!

Well, gotta run. I think my baby is hungry!

Summer is Over!

School started this week. I'm SOOO excited to be back at my "old" school with Ms. Gretchen. (We were at a different school this summer.) I'm in the Racoons (the 3's) again this year because I have a late birthday. But I don't mind because Ms. Gretchen is my favorite teacher.

Libby is excited too. She moved up to the Toddlers and is not in the Babies room anymore! Daddy and Mommy spied on us the other day on our school playground and saw me and Libby playing together. It's nice to have each other to play with at school.

Libby is 19 Months!

I'm 19 months today. (Technically tomorrow.) This is a recent picture of me. I'm eating spaghetti and meatballs, one of my favorites! I love to eat! I also have to do everything by myself now. I use a fork and spoon. And as you can see I can get a little messy when I eat.

I love climbing up and down the stairs (by myself!). I climb in and out of the car (by myself). Mom says I make her nervous, but I've got really good balance so she shouldn't worry. I'm also a great helper. I love to clean up and I help Mom get our shoes on in the morning. My words are getting clearer and I'm adding new ones everyday! My favorite thing to do (besides eat!) is dance. Put on any music and I'll boogie down! I'll have to get Mom to record me dancing so you can see me too.

And I'm telling Mom when I go to the bathroom. Yup, maybe I'll be going on the potty soon! :)

Trip to Addison's House

We went to Atlanta over the weekend for my good friend Addie's 4th birthday. I was so excited. It was a Royal Tea Party. We wore pretty dresses, sat at a fancy table and ate tea party food. And, Princess Belle made an appearance! We had so much fun...I didn't want to leave!

Today we went to the Y for a Preschool Triathlon! I was pretty excited! First they wrote my number on my arms and my age on the back of my leg. When it was my turn, they called my name and I jumped in the pool with my Daddy. We swam all the way to the other side. Then we climbed out and went to my bike. We put on my tennis shoes (my very sassy purple Pumas!) and Daddy cheered for me and helped me (just a little when I got tired!) as we went around the track. Then I ran over to Mommy and she and I ran down the field and back. I got a medal! I was pretty wiped out, but I had so much fun. I am a RACER! On the way home, I reminded Mom and Dad that they promised me a doughnut last night. So we stopped by Dunkin Doughnuts on the way home and I got a jelly one!

Libby was too little to race, but she ate lots of bananas and said "Go!". Oh and Mom's camera ran out of batteries after I got my number, but Daddy got some on his phone. We'll try to add more later!

We had a busy weekend celebrating the 4th! Lots of play time with Mom, Dad and Libby! We went to the pool a couple of times (I'm getting to be such a swimmer! I jump in and swim to Dad and I can go under water and get our dive toys!.) We went to a festival today where I got to go on a bouncy slide and ride a pony. And my favorite...we made ice cream cones tonight after dinner. Yummy!

I turned 18 months this week! I am really growing! I'm very polite and like to say Thank You" and "Please". Whenever a camera comes out, I do my big smile and say "Cheese". I also am quick to swipe Mom's phone and say "Hel-wo" to call "Da Da".

I love to blow kisses and to dance. Mom keeps trying to get a video of me dancing, but of course when the camera comes out to video me, I stop dancing pose and say "Cheese!".

Maddie and I play together now. My favorite games are Chase and Hide-n-Seek. Maddie is a great big sister and tolerates me "most" of the time!

I'm 16 months old this month. I love carrying a purse and taking care of my baby dolls. I shake my head no and say "uh uh" and shake my head yes now too. (I mostly do my yes head nods when someone has food in their hands or is nearing the pantry.) I just got over my first ear infection. I really didn't care for the medicine. But when my friend 'monkey' took the medicine first it didn't seem to taste so bad and was even fun! My new favorite game is peek-a-boo. I hide my eyes and let everyone look for me and then I get so excited when I take my hands away and they see me! I play it over and over and over again!

Spring Break Trip to Big D

We went on an airplane to visit Grandlin & Paw-Paw in Dallas for our Spring Break! The plane ride was very exciting. It was a little bumpy, but I thought the bumpy parts were fun and yelled "WHEE!" and everyone else looked so serious! We had lots of fun times in Dallas. Great Maw-Maw El was there and then Uncle Tim and Aunt Shay showed up. There were lots of people around! We went to Legoland and played in the hot tub alot. The Easter bunny even showed up and left us treats! I was sad to leave my "new house", but I'll be back!

Elizabeth Egg Hunt

Wow, what slackers we are lately. We had our neighborhood Egg Hunt about a month ago and we're finally getting around to posting pictures. It was a lot of fun. Last year I was just a baby and got pushed around in the stroller, but this year, "Walkers Under 2" watch out! I was large and in charge! I found lots of my own eggs, but Maddie's eggs were much more fun. We saw animals at the petting zoo too! I really enjoyed the ride home. Mom and Dad weren't paying attention and I chewed on a Nerds box long enough to open it! Who knew such delicious treats were inside. When's the next egg hunt!?

15 Months!!

I turned 15 months this week. Everyone keeps saying I'm getting to be such a big girl. I guess I am! I'm talking some more. Some of my new words are: apple, book, ball, ba (which means dog), baby, cow, cat, shake (we like to sing "Shake Your Bootie!"). I LOVE music. When Mom puts songs on the radio I start clapping immediately. I like to dance too. Last Sunday, a lady told Daddy in church that I was "musically inclined". I don't know what that means, but I sure did enjoy the church choir!

This weekend we went to the Whitewater Center with our friends to see them dye the river green. It was REALLY green. I ran around with my friends Payton and Isabella. Then we ate lunch with Jack and his new baby sister Ava. There were lots of people out and lots of dogs which Libby and I really enjoyed! Here are some pictures of the day. Oh, and I now know Libby and I must wear green on St. Paddy's Day or we might get pinched. Not to worry my grandmas made sure we were decked out in our Irish green!

A Visit from Baby Wynn

We had a special visitor this week. Katie (who used to live in Charlotte and work with Mom) brought over her baby Wynn for us to meet. Wynn was born in November on the most important day of the month...the 20th, my birthday! She was so little. Katie let me hold her. She cried though. I think she wanted her mommy. Libby really liked her too. She tried to share some toys with her and gave her a hug. I think we should get our own baby now. (Note from the Editor aka Mom: Not a chance!)

I'm playing soccer at the park now. I really like it. Coach Lee is our teacher. We run around kicking the ball and trying to stop it with our feet. It's really hard to not use our hands (sometimes I forget!). My favorite part is the stamp and jelly bean we get at the end!

Libby and Mom come and watch me play soccer. Here is what Libby does during soccer...she loves taking her shoes off and playing with Mom's stuff!

Happy Mardi Gras!

Happy Mardi Gras, Everyone! This year Mom got a king cake shipped to us from New Orleans (for those of you who don't know, that's where my family and "Tiana" from Princess & the Frog lives). I was so excited to share it with my friends at school. Mom brought everyone beads and we all ate the king cake. Ms. Gretchen (my teacher) got the baby. So now we have a classroom baby! Libby liked the king cake too. She really liked walking around trying to put the beads on. She's so silly.

Libby kept saying "more" after her piece was finished. She really liked it!

Happy Valentine's Day, Everybody! I'm very excited to celebrate this holiday. Mom said we're going to celebrate with special cupcakes...yum! I've been wearing my red and pink heart outfits that Grandma bought me. And I got special Princess valentines for my friends at school. It's going to be a really fun day! Poor Libby has a bad cold (again!), but I hope she feels better so she can eat cupcakes with me.

This is from last weekend. My latest favorite game is "Duck, Duck, Goose" in the backyard. Here I am trying to catch Libby. Gotcha!

The snow looked pretty interesting from the front door window. I was glued to the window watching Maddie and Caroline play in the snow. I kept banging on the door and whining to go out. So Mom bundled me up and took me outside to play too. Well, let's just say it was a little more fun watching the snow then to be in it. Here are some pics of me Libby meeting the snow.

We had lots of snow this week. In fact, we missed school every day this week except for Friday. We were all so happy to get back to school and out of this house. Mom kept wanting to play forts, tea party, princess dolls, etc. It was exhausting. I was like, "Let's just turn on a little Max and Ruby and relax!" Libby was not so sure about the snow. Here are some pictures of the first day of the snow before it got icy and we were really stuck inside.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Santa brought just what I asked for...FAIRIES! He must have gotten my letter. He brought Libby lots of toys too. We got a 4-wheel truck that goes all by itself when you press a button. Libby and I are both enjoying that one. (Though I get "very upset" when it's not my turn!) We played all day yesterday. I didn't want to stop playing to take my nap or go to bed. When is it Christmas again?!

For my first birthday, we had "Elmo" cupcakes and invited some of our neighbors over to celebrate. I didn't know what was going on. Mom kept trying to put this fuzzy hat on my head and I didn't like it much. In fact I tried to run away from her outside, but I fell on my face. It hurt, but it didn't bleed so that was good! I pretty much cried the whole time, but it was just because I didn't understand what was going on. Once the cupcake and singing part was over and Mom took that silly hat off of me, I ran around playing! I like being a big one-year old!

Daddy's 10th Marathon

Daddy ran a marathon this weekend. He dressed like Santa Claus. Mom and I sprayed his hair red, white and green. He looked pretty silly, but it was easy to spot him on the course! We dropped him off at the start line and then cheered him on at mile 2. But it was pretty chilly so we went home for a while. We got back just in time to see him at the finish line. I told him I wanted to run real fast with him next time!

I was a little worried about hugging him b/c I thought he was going to be all wet. But he wasn't so sweaty!

I helped him re-fuel.

I had to sit far away from him so he wouldn't steal all my chips. :)

Note from Mom: At the end of the day, I asked Maddie what her favorite part of the day was. I told her mine was going to the race to see Daddy cross the finish line. She said,"Mommy, I really liked eating chips." Oh well!

Santa's Workshop

So last week Mom came with my class for our field trip to Santa's Workshop. We each got assigned an "elf" who helped us shop for gifts for our family. It was lots of fun AND I got to see Santa again! (I saw him at the mall too!) I couldn't wait until Christmas to give out my gifts so we unwrapped them when I got home from school. Mom, Dad, and Libby loved the gifts I picked out for them.

Christmas Tree Time

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving we loaded up in the car for our annual trek to the mountains to pick out our Christmas tree. The ride went by pretty quickly...I watched Cinderella and had hot chocolate! Libby slept. It was cold and windy at the top of the mountain, but we picked our tree quickly, and the men came with a big chainsaw and cut it down. They tied the tree to the top of our car!! I was anxious to get home and decorate. I love decorations! Libby kept trying to eat the ornaments, but I was very good about telling her "NO, Libby!". (I have to tell her that all the time!) I really love Christmastime!

I had to tell Libby what was going on because she couldn't see much all bundled up and in her stroller.

Happy Fried Turkey Day

So Daddy's been talking about frying a turkey for years. This year he finally did it! It was a yucky rainy day, but Dad and Grandpa camped out in the garage and I was their assistant. Libby, Mom and Grandma Nancy stayed inside getting the rest of our meal ready to go. I normally don't eat weird things like turkey :) but I really liked the way Daddy cooked this one. It was yum!Rain boots, check. Big coat, check. Little sister who wants to tag along, check. (Can you see Libby in the door behind me!)

Happy 3rd Birthday, Princess Maddie!

I am now THREE!! I had a wonderful birthday. I had a big princess birthday party yesterday at my house. Lots of my school friends came and so did Cinderella! She played with us for a long time and painted our faces. She did a magic show and let me hold the magic wand. I got lots of presents and ate yummy Cinderella cake (it was purple inside!). I was very tired by the end of my party and took a long nap. I can't wait for my next birthday....celebrating birthdays are fun!

Cinderella showed up at my party. I really checked her out and just couldn't decide if she was the real Cinderella or not. My friend Caroline was super excited (she's the one jumping up and down!). By the end I had decided she was not really Cinderella but she was really nice and painted my face, did magic tricks and made animal balloons. Here's a video of her coming to my front door.

So I survived my first Halloween! Even though I couldn't eat any candy, it was really fun AND exhausting. Maddie was Cinderella and I was Snow White. She picked her costume out months ago, and I was given a hand-me-down (guess I better get used to it!). We went to our neighborhood "Trunk or Treat" and then we went trick-or-treating around our street. I lasted all night and never got fussy. Maddie went house to house in her light up glass slippers and went up and down all the stairs without falling down (we were all very impressed!). I really enjoyed running to the door to see the kids in costumes too. I'm looking forward to next year when I get to eat the candy!!

It's almost Halloween Day (as I like to say)! Grandma Nancy bought Libs and I matching dresses and we wore them today. I was really proud of my dress and loved showing it off. I'm very into Halloween! I can't wait for Trick or Treating on Sunday. (I've been practicing around the house and I'm READY!)

10 Months Old

I turned 10 months this week! I'm a very busy little girl. I never stop walking..there's too much to explore! I think Maddie is the best thing ever ... she makes me smile the biggest and laugh the hardest. Here are some recent pictures of me.

I move all the time. I never crawl anymore (Who would? It's really hard on the knees!). Mom tries to keep up with me, but she can't! I'm too fast and too sneaky. I love getting into everything I shouldn't (cabinets, toilets, Maddie's toys, etc.). Walking is so much fun!

Pumpkin Patch

Mom and I went to the Pumpkin Patch with my school. It was lots of fun. We saw farm animals, found pumpkins and played on the playground! I ran around with my school friends and laughed a lot. We left Libby at school (she was too little to come) and on the way I kept telling mom, "I miss Libby."

Libby is 9 months

I had my 9 month check-up at the Doctor's yesterday. She said I was VERY healthy! Here are my stats:

Height - 27 inches (40%)

Weight - 22 lbs 5.5 oz (90%)

Head - 47 cm (50%)

I showed off my new walking skills to the Doc. (She asked Mom if I was crawling or pulling up...I was like, "Puh-leeze, I'm walking!") She said that when I stand up unassisted or go from crawling to standing by myself that that is typical of a 15-month old. Watch out world, I'm growing up fast!

I did get two shots and a finger prick. The finger prick REALLY hurt, but I liked sucking on my band-aid afterwards. :) My next visit there is for my one-year old check up. Hard to believe!

Yup. You read that correctly! Libby, my not quite 9-month old sister is starting to walk. She has taken as many as 8 steps this weekend. (Mom told me to write that...I'm too busy to keep count.) Every time Mom runs frantically for the camera to get some good shots of her walking, she sits down. Go figure. But we did capture this little bit this afternoon. More to come, I'm sure.

Butterflies!

We visited the Botanical Gardens to see the Butterfly Exhibit yesterday. We saw LOTS of butterflies and one even landed on Maddie's dress. I relaxed in my stroller most of the time. I did try to reach out and touch a butterfly resting on a flower, but Mom stopped me...something about me hurting her wings. I touched and smelled some flowers too!

First Day of School

September 1st was our first day of preschool. Libby is in the Infant room and I'm still in the Two's with Ms. Dana. We had a good first week! Every morning I drop Libby off and give her a kiss and then walk myself to my classroom. I have some new friends in my class this year and I helped show them the "ropes". I'm friends with Jacob and Sophia. I even gave Jacob a kiss on my first day!

Sorry I'm a little behind in sending out this post, but a few weeks ago I turned 8 months. I've been so busy standing, cruising and getting into things that I didn't have time to blog. I'm eating lots of solids and even some finger foods. I have my bottom two teeth now! I even started preschool and really like it even if it does REALLY wear me out. Here are some pictures of me!!

Mom here. Just wanted to update everyone on Miss Libby. She is officially crawling! For the past couple of weeks Libby has been attempting some type of "crawl". She's finally decided on the normal crawl however she stops frequently to walk on her feet (kind of like a moving "Downward Dog"). And every now and then she attempts to STAND...not pull herself up on something, but just stand by herself. She can get up and hold it for a second and then falls onto her bottom.

She also cut her bottom two teeth last week.

The girl's been BUSY!

She pulls herself up and plays on this all the time!

Behrens Adventure

Mom and Dad took Uncle Mike and his family to Charlotte's Whitewater Center last weekend. Maddie and I couldn't go; we stayed home with Grandlin and Paw-Paw. They said we were "too little"! Hmpf! Looks like they had fun. They did rafting, the mega-jump, the ropes course and a zip line. I can't wait to get bigger so I can do it too!

Libby's Baptism - July 11, 2010

We had a big family weekend for my Baptism. Lots of my family came in town: Grandlin & Paw-Paw, Grandma & Grandpa, Uncle Mike and Aunt Anita and my cousins Kristen, Matt and Nick, and Uncle Doug and my cousin Hunter! It was a fun weekend! I was a good girl during the church ceremony. I fell asleep on Kristen and woke up when they poured water on me (who pours cold water on a sleeping baby!?), but I didn't cry. My sister Maddie thought everyone was clapping for her when it was over...I didn't have the heart to tell her it was all for me!

I tried to get my hands on that burning candle...no luck!

I really enjoyed sitting in the grass...I even had a grass snack when Mom wasn't looking.

Girls at the Park

It's been REALLY hot here lately, so we haven't gotten out much. Today Mom loaded us up in the car for a big exciting trip to the library and when we got there it was CLOSED! So I talked her into taking us to the playground I noticed from the car window. (She said we could only stay for a few minutes because it was so hot!)

Oh, I had a blast on a big dinosaur and I love the swings. I love for Mom to swing me so high it makes my tummy hurt! Even Libby got in on the action and rode the swings!

Libby is 6 months!

I turned 6 months this week!! Hard to believe that I'm half way to ONE! I had a great check up at the doctor. She was really impressed with how alert I was and how well I grabbed things and moved around. Let's just say I'm VERY healthy. Mom says to tell you my stats:

Weight: 19 lbs 7 oz - 95% (Just for the record the "little" sister is 2 lbs bigger than Maddie was at this point!)

Height: 25 3/4" - 50% (Taller than Maddie too!)

I'm figuring out how to get places too. I'm trying to scoot to get to things, but for some reason I keep going backward? But between scooting and rolling I can pretty much get to toys. Maddie keeps taking things away from me, but I don't care, I just smile at her because I think she's the best!

And I started eating some veggies this week (I've been eating cereal like a champ!). So far I like squash but not carrots so much. :)

Yup, that's right. I'm officially a potty princess. We started potty training on Friday morning and I was a pro by that evening (just a few accidents!). I really love my princess panties and do a great job of keeping the princesses dry!

Five Months

I'm now 5 months old! I'm getting big (I'm now in 9-12 months clothes!) I started sleeping on my stomach recently...I just roll on over and suck my thumb. I am getting really good at sitting up by myself too. I love chewing on things...maybe I'll be getting some teeth soon. I still think my sister Maddie is the best thing ever. I smile at her and grab for her face which is my way of saying "I love you.". I had my first trip to the beach this past weekend. I put my feet in the sand and floated around the pool. I didn't mind the water at all (even though it was pretty cold!!).

Beach Trip

We went to the beach this past weekend. We went with my friend Hannah who lives behind us. It was so much fun. I liked the beach and collecting shells, but I REALLY liked swimming in the pool at the house. I would jump off the side of the pool to Daddy! We got ice cream (with sprinkles!) too. When we drove up to our house this morning I told Daddy and Mommy that I wanted to go back to my new house!

Did I mention I got ice cream TWICE!

I even shared some of my ice cream with Libby. Just one bite, Libby!

I REALLY didn't like getting sunscreen applied, but Mom made me put it on!

Libby is growing up fast! This week she started eating some cereal (I got to help feed her), playing in the "Exersaucer" aka "The Office" (it's a really fun toy; I forgot how much I enjoyed it!), and she rolled from back to tummy (Mommy got all excited about that one!). She is a wiggle-worm! I still adore her, but I don't like it when she pulls Mommy's hair!

Libby is 4 months old

Libby had her 4-month check up last week. She's such a happy baby...she smiles, laughs and talks all the time. I can't get enough of Libby-Boo (that's what I call her!). I love to hug, tickle and hold her. Mom says to tell you that she weighs 16 lbs 3 oz (90%) and is 24" tall (50%)

I like to dress Libby up. Here she is modeling my Itty Bitty Baby hat and an old bib. (I dressed her "all by myself", which is my new favorite thing to say!)

Easter Sunday

Easter was so fun this year. We got all dressed up and went to church. But the best part was the big Easter Egg Hunt after church. I collected lots of eggs which means I got lots of CANDY! Libby wasn't much help...maybe next year. Here are some pics of the big day...

Neighborhood Egg Hunt

Yesterday was the Easter Egg Hunt in our neighborhood. It was so fun! My friends Payton and Isabella came with us. We took the wagon to the park. I saw my buddies Caroline and Greta there too! I collected some eggs. It was good training for the egg hunt at church next weekend.

An egg hunt? Seriously, mom? I'm a bit young, don't ya think?

Libby is 2 months old! Here are some pictures of how she's growing (and boy is she growing!). At her 2 month check up she weighed in at 13 1/2 lbs (95%)! WOW!

I absolutely LOVE my baby sister. I give her hugs and kisses all the time and love to watch her. She makes me laugh a lot!

So here are some pics of me and Libby. Libby is getting BIG and I'm just as busy as I can be! Mommy and Daddy are busy too. We work hard, play hard and sleep hard (well, everyone except for Mommy who still has to get up twice a night to feed the baby who should be sleeping through the night!).

I'm REALLY into Princesses and dressing up lately! Mom plays "princess" music for me ("Someday My Prince Will Come" is my favorite song!) and we dance around at the "ball". It's so much fun! Grandma B sent me a box of princess gear this week. Here are some pics of my new attire!

Princess Maddie! This dress is a little big for me now, but I'll grow into it soon!

Check out my new rain boots. Ms V (or BB as I call her) gave them to me. I wear them all the time...sometimes even with my ball gowns!

Libby is 7 weeks old now. She's starting to sleep for longer stretches at night, ("Yea!!" says Mom.) and is still a big eater. She started smiling last week. Her favorite so far is Daddy. Here are some pictures of her.

Libby is One Month Old!

Libby turned one month today. We took her to the Doctor. I've been home this week from school with a bad cough so I got to go with her for her check up. I don't like the Doctor much, but I let her take a look at Libby. Libby didn't seem to mind too much.

I did cry when Libby got her shot...it looked like it hurt her and I'm a very protective big sister.

Libby's stats:
Weight: 10 lbs 12 oz (she gained 3 lbs in her first month...so did I!)-75-90%
Height: 21 3/4 " (she's grown 3/4 of an inch) - 50%
Head: 36.5 cm (she's got a little head!) - 25%

Well, gotta run...time for another tea party!

My favorite thing to play lately is "Tea Party"! Libby sometimes gets to participate in my parties with me. She never complains that the tea is too hot or too cold! She's a very good tea party guest.

I'm really enjoying my baby sister. I am very interested in what she's doing. I tell her "Good Morning, Libby." and don't complain when she cries (even though it's loud and hard to hear Dora on TV). I'm a very good big sissy!

More tea for Libby! This is the first tea party that Libby was able to make. She's only a week old here, but we're becoming fast friends!

My little sister arrived on 12/21/09. Her name is Elizabeth Clare, but everyone calls her Libby. I wasn't allowed at the hospital (H1N1 policy), so you won't see my pretty face in these pics!

And, sorry for the delay in posting this blog...it's been busy around here. Babies are a lot of work! :)

Christmas Tree!

We got our tree over Thanksgiving weekend. We drove all the way to the top of this mountain and picked out the perfect tree. It was pretty cold and windy so we picked our tree out quickly! I really liked seeing the "baby" trees. I helped decorate the tree when we got home. It was fun. I loved seeing all the ornaments. I confiscated some to play with. I helped mom hang garland and ornaments. While we were decorating I told Mommy "teamwork" (guess I'm watching too much of those Wonder Pets on TV!!).
